I think Angie is addicted to Colin’s Nintendo DSi. Specifically, Toy Story 3. It seems as though any spare moment she has, she’s playing that game! Take for instance Friday evening. Colin was playing soccer at 6:30 and we were getting things ready (we usually leave by 6:15). We had him dressed and the [...] I can’t eat anymore cake and the contemplation of eating one more piece makes me want to hurl (see Monty Python and the Meaning of Life for an example). After 4 birthday celebrations, 3 cakes, cupcakes, ice cream and chocolate cookies, our sons’ birthdays are officially over. Yes, these are the joys of having two [...] So, I triumphantly proclaimed my awesomeness at putting my son Adrian to bed the other night without incident. That’s right! I put him in bed, said good night and left the room. Sure he cried for a few minutes, but 15 minutes later he was sound asleep. Yes, I thought I was some sort [...] Angie and I bought Adrian his first bed and with that it was time for me to disassemble his crib. But before I got into the task at hand, Angie took the boys out so that I could do this without them knowing. Angie and I have learned (with Colin and his cousins) that [...] We celebrated Colin’s 6th birthday on Sunday! Our day began with Adrian waking up at 6am. I didn’t want Adrian to wake up Colin so I went in and brought him into the playroom. 2 minutes later Colin joined us and had the biggest grin on his face. Colin: It’s my birthday, Daddy! I wished [...] It’s hard as a parent when you go on vacation with kids because it requires exceptional planning and organizing, even if it’s just two days. This is especially true when one of your kids is a toddler. And what you’re really trying to do when you leave your home is minimize the disruption to your [...] Today was the first time that I had to discipline Adrian. He’d been unwilling to share (not that he grasps the concept anyway) and hit Colin over the head with a remote. And on top of that, when he didn’t get his way, he began to scream.
