Adrian is growing and it saddens Angie and I that he’s no longer a baby. Last night I walked into the boys room to check on them and discovered Adrian attempting to climb out of his crib. He looked like Spider-man with his legs up against the railing and his hands pulling himself up! [...] Angie and I were supposed to take the boys camping this weekend, but canceled our reservations when we learned it was going to rain Saturday and Sunday. Angie and I are not huge fans of camping, especially when it’s going to rain. Colin was very disappointed that we weren’t going because he really wanted [...] I was reading to the boys last night when Adrian decided he would blow raspberries on me. Soon after Colin followed suit. It makes me laugh that one minute your kids are intently listening to a story and then the next, they’re drooling and making fart sounds on your stomach. Anyway, after Colin had [...] I find that as my children grow, I look forward to holidays like Father’s Day. Sure it’s one of those Hallmark holidays, but the truth is I really enjoy getting presents from them. Especially the ones that are made in school. This year Colin made a shirt and tie picture (I’d been expecting this [...] I felt sad telling Colin that he couldn’t help me mow the lawn. Kids are always so eager and willing to help you do things around the house, but sometimes they’re just too young. Colin: Daddy I can do it. I’m strong enough to push the mower. Me: I know you’re strong Buddy, but [...] Colin and I went out on a long bike ride yesterday. He’s been riding his bike on his own for the past two weeks and I thought I’d teach him how to ride on the road. However, before charging out onto the street I decided it would be best to tour the neighbourhood bike [...] All kids love simple discoveries and Adrian is no exception. While we were at Colin’s match, Adrian roamed the adjacent grounds pulling out any flower or weed that seemed interesting and in turn would offer it as a gift. For you Daddy.
